Dear Vic, "The next 10 days will decide the future of Planned Parenthood." That's the opening line of a fundraising e-mail just sent out by Cecile Richards, the president of Planned Parenthood, to its supporters. And for once in my lifetime, I actually agree with Cecile – the next 10 days are absolutely critical in the fight to defund Planned Parenthood of our tax dollars. I am asking you to make an emergency contribution to your SBA List as we launch a massive, unrelenting national grassroots lobbying campaign in the fight to defund Planned Parenthood in the Continuing Resolution. Cecile goes on to say: "The bill to bar Planned Parenthood from federal funding is part of an unbelievable and unrelenting campaign meant to shut down Planned Parenthood…" I am more than happy to agree with Cecile on this point as well: Planned Parenthood relies heavily on federal funding to keep its abortuaries open across the country. By stripping it of its tax dollars, we can cut Planned Parenthood's revenue by an incredible 33%. Imagine the lives we can save! Donate right now to the SBA List's national grassroots campaign to defund Planned Parenthood of our tax dollars. Vic, there has never been a better opportunity than this to get the job done. With our country in financial crisis, how can any Representative or Senator possibly reconcile giving our tax dollars to an organization that covers up human trafficking of minors and ends the lives of hundreds of thousands of babies each and every year? We must force them to answer that question, and we can do it with your help. You see, Vic, the pro-life House of Representatives is headed for a major showdown with the Senate and White House over the Continuing Resolution that could even lead to a shutdown of the federal government if a deal isn't reached in the next 10 days. The House voted to strip Planned Parenthood of its federal funding on Friday in the Continuing Resolution by passing the Pence Amendment. Planned Parenthood is already, as I write to you, putting an immense amount of pressure on its allies in the Senate and White House to ensure the House's version of the Continuing Resolution never sees the light of day. That is why we must launch a national grassroots campaign to ensure the final Continuing Resolution defunds Planned Parenthood of every single federal tax dollar it receives. We must make it clear to Congress and to President Obama that ending taxpayer funding of abortion is NON-NEGOTIABLE. We can do this by making sure that every phone in the halls of the House of Representatives and in the Senate is ringing off the hook. Let's turn up the heat. Let's apply as much pressure as possible to the point where taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood is no longer a question being debated in Washington. It must be ended. Vic, the stakes couldn't be higher. Every single minute of the day Planned Parenthood is destroying a human life and wounding another. Planned Parenthood is not a friend to women and girls, but rather an unapologetic ally of the human trafficking industry. And they are doing it with the help of our tax dollars. Enough is Enough!
